COORDINATING COUNCIL OF MUSLIM ORGANIZATIONS
IN GREATER WASHINGTON, D.C.
The Coordinating Council of Muslim Organizations (CCMO) has been established to serve as a platform of unity and coordination for all Muslim organizations in the Greater Washington, DC.
The objectives of CCMO are to:

Facilitate
and coordinate communication and key initiatives for Washington Metropolitan area Muslim organizations

Educate fellow Americans about Islam as a religion and a way of life, about Muslims culture and traditions, and about critical issues and challenges facing American Muslims as well as Muslims in other parts of the world

Provide effective advocacy on critical civil liberties and social justice issues impacting American-Muslims, and
-
Establish and maintain productive collaborative relationships with government, civic, legal, social, and media organizations.

- (Vice-Chairman) a resident of Herndon, VA, representative of ADAMS Center, director of Islamic society of Afghans, and a speaker on various Islamic topics.
- Br. Shirin El-Koshairi - (recently appointed Secretary) - a resident of Ashburn, VA. Chair of Media Relations at ADAMS Center.

Imam Johari Abdul-Malik - (Treasurer) a resident of Washington, DC is the Director of Outreach Program for Dar-ul Hijrah Mosque and President of the Muslim Society of Washington, Inc.

Imam Faizul R. Khan, MS - (Assistant Secretary-Treasurer) a resident of Silver Spring, MD Imam for the Islamic Society of the Washington Area (ISWA).

Dr. Anwar N. Haddam - (Member at Large) a resident of Northern VA and the Chairman of the Board of Trustees of Education for Life operating El-Iman Learning Center.
